About Us
As a full time Mum of 3 children, moving to Essex in 2003, I struggled to find a job that fitted in to our new home life. So I started making a bit of pocket money selling my Cross Stitch Cards to family & friends. In 2004, when designing our Wedding Thank You cards, I stumbled across rubber stamping. I also quit smoking shortly afterwards & found that crafting helped to keep my hands busy. By 2009, my crafting had started taking over my home & so Thread-bare was officially born. My kids started moving out so I was able to convert our spare bedroom into my office & craft studio.
My passion for crafting increased in 2015 when I learnt to Crochet. Crochet has become a hugely loved hobby during Covid Lockdowns & sharing with others only makes me more determind to create unique gifts for others.
In April 2022 I opened my physical shop in Outwell, Norfolk. My little cabin on a glamping site has created a place for me to share my love of crafts to a wider audience. If you would like to visit you can find us at
